IRSE M&NW Section's March 2024 meeting is on fire safety engineering

Alice Pike, (Assistant Fire Engineer, Mott MacDonald) and Michael Barnes, (Technical Principal Fire Engineer, Mott MacDonald) will provide an introduction to fire safety engineering with a particular focus on the challenges of retrospective analysis and application to existing infrastructure. The influence of train operations and emergency communications on fire safety will be further explored to understand the bigger picture of the contributing factors to fire safety across the rail network.
