Speaker: Pinak Das

Pinak has been in the railway signalling profession for the last 32 years. He has worked in India, Australia, Middle East, UK (Network Rail & TfL projects) and in Malaysian Projects. He has worked both on client and contractor side.

He has worked on various interlocking systems such as Hitachi Rail’s Microlok, GE’s ElectrologIXS, various Track Code systems, SSIs, Hybrid ETCS systems, ETCS level-1 (Malaysia), Predictor based level crossing working systems, Hitachi Rail’s & GE’s on-board systems data, wayside ETC-1 balise data etc.

He has worked in signalling design, principle testing, maintenance management, tendering etc., over the last 32 years. At present, Pinak is working as Principal Engineer for the 4LM CBTC project, mostly as reviewer/approver of designs.
